Meaning of work

MEANING OF WORK

Enjoying or loathing one’s daily work is of critical importance in terms of an individual's holistic wellbeing. Enjoying one’s work is associated with significantly better health, particularly mental health. Many people work under constant pressure to produce growth and development, causing more harm than good. Burnouts are particularly common in workplaces where the employees’ happiness levels are poor and stress levels excessive.

Important questions to ask yourself are as follows:

  • Do I work just for the sake of working (to get money etc.)?
  • Do I have a "work-life" and "other life"
  • How could I include work as part of a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle?
  • How can I make work my passion

Optimized work-life goals & challenges

A method for mental and emotional workplace fitness that helps people cope with stress more productively and:

  • Increases performance
  • Speeds up recovery
  • Improves the flow state

These days, being productive and focused at work is more important than ever. But at work we often face:

  • Time pressure
  • Mental distractions
  • Emotional stress
  • Physical stress
  • Poor air quality and ventilation
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Light & noise pollution
  • Travel stress and jet lag

These often lead to:

  • Sleeping issues
  • Lack of motivation
  • Lack of recovery
  • Lack of energy
Because of these things presented above, the average worker only spends 5-10 % of their work day in a very productive flow state.
